Hey - I’m Jasmine Mahboob. Yes, that’s really my last name. And yes, it’s pronounced exactly the way you think it is.

When I was a teenager, a family friend generously commented that I was a fantastic host during a backyard summer picnic. I’ve been doing my best to live up to the compliment ever since. What started as a few friends over for dinner and drinks in New York City turned into packing up my entire kitchen and co-hosting events across the country with my now husband, Chris. Getting people together for drinks, a meal, and a damn good time is the best high I could ask for. And doing it surrounded by beautiful and interesting things is the cherry on top. 

Over a decade working in design, hospitality, and entertainment in New York City taught me that there are rules to be respected and many more to be broken. Whether your space is small or if you have room for every type of glassware known to mankind, there’s always an opportunity to make something dramatic and memorable. My advice? Try the weird thing. Take a chance on an unknown ingredient. And always throw spilled salt over your left shoulder.
